What is mac mat?
Mac mat (also known as mountain rose apple, monkey root) is a flowering plant belonging to the family Clausena indica, scientific name is Clausena indica. Mac mat trees commonly grow in limestone mountainous areas in Vietnam, especially in the northeastern provinces such as Lang Son, Son La, Bac Kan. This tree can grow up to 7 meters high, with dark green pinnate leaves, the underside has a layer of fine hairs.
