Steps to make Pho Cuon
Step 1: Prepare ingredients
- Slice the beef tenderloin into thin slices.
- Peel and mince garlic
- Peel and cut carrots and papaya into 0.5cm thick slices. Then wash them.
Tip:
- You should slice the beef across the grain to keep it from becoming tough. You can also put the meat in the freezer or refrigerator to make it easier to slice.
- Coriander, also known as Coriander, is a valuable medicine in oriental medicine, helping to prevent bloating, strengthen the stomach, increase urine output and reduce fever,...

Step 2: Marinate the beef and make pickles
- Marinate the beef: Put the sliced beef in a bowl and marinate with the following spices: 1 tablespoon fish sauce, 2 tablespoons minced garlic, 2 teaspoons seasoning powder, 1 teaspoon sugar and a little ground black pepper. Then, mix well to let the beef absorb the spices and marinate for about 15-20 minutes.
- Make pickles: Marinate the Carrot and Papaya mixture with 2 tablespoons of vinegar, 4 tablespoons of water, a little salt, and a little sugar.
Tips:
- You can replace minced garlic with Dh Foods' Natural Garlic Powder to save time while still retaining the flavor.
- Replace with Natural Ground Black Pepper Phu Quoc or Natural Ground Black Pepper Tay Nguyen from Dh Foods, still fragrant and rich.

Step 3: Make sweet and sour fish sauce
Add 2 tablespoons of fish sauce, 4 tablespoons of sugar and 6 tablespoons of water to the bowl, then stir well. Then add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and stir well to dissolve the sugar.

Step 4: Stir-fry beef and make pho rolls
- Stir-fry beef: Put the pan on the stove, add oil to boil then add minced garlic. When the garlic is fragrant and golden brown, continue to add beef, stirring constantly. When the beef is rare, quickly put it on a plate to avoid making the beef tough.

- Roll the pho: Place a rice noodle sheet on a flat surface (like a plate, cutting board, etc.), layer a little lettuce, coriander and stir-fried beef (amount depends on preference). Then, roll it tightly.
Tip: You should spread the vegetables and beef evenly so that the first two parts of the pho roll do not get dented and lose their aesthetic appeal.

Decorate the dish and enjoy
Arrange the pho rolls on a plate, garnish with coriander for a beautiful look, and prepare pickles to eat with. The pho rolls will be more delicious when enjoyed with Fish Sauce or Peanut Dipping Sauce.
