Reasons Dh Foods Decided to Invest in a New Factory

Speaking at the Inauguration Ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director expressed his gratitude to the project consultants, investors, partner companies and all employees who worked together to complete the factory on time. He also shared the reason why Dh Foods invested in the new factory:

“Dh Foods decided to invest in a new factory after participating in exhibitions in China, Japan, Korea, the US, and Germany in 2023. The milestone was at the end of October 2023 when returning from the Anuga Germany exhibition, the Board of Directors unanimously agreed to start building a new factory."

Choosing Kizuna Industrial Park – A Strategic Move

After surveying many Industrial Parks, we decided to choose Kizuna. This is where 50% of tenants are Japanese and Korean enterprises and 11% are American and European enterprises. Nearly 30% of enterprises here also operate in the F&B sector.

This is where Dh Foods focuses on producing Sauce lines (such as dipping sauces, complete seasoning sauces of all kinds...) and potential new product lines. The factory also aims for the highest certifications on Quality Management Systems and Food Safety such as BRC, IFS and BSCI social responsibility certification, expected to be achieved in the fourth quarter of this year.

With this new factory, Dh Foods is confident in cooperating with new partners who are currently supplying supermarket chains such as Aldi, Lild in Germany; Aeon, Beisia, Costco, OK Corporation, Sandi, Halows chains in Japan requiring the highest food safety and hygiene certificates in the world.

After the Foodex Japan exhibition held last week of March 1, Dh Foods is also being contacted by Aeon Hong Kong and Aeon Malaysia to learn about Dh Foods products for the Topvalu brand in these countries. The new factory will help Dh Foods continue to better supply products currently available at the Carrefour and E. Lerclec systems in France; Gyomu and Donkihote supermarkets in Japan."

CEO Dh Foods also hopes that this is the first step in the future to build a chain of factories following this model, producing each product line separately. One day, maybe in 5 years, maybe longer, Dh Foods will reach the 1,000 billion revenue milestone.

Message from Shareholders and Partners

After the sharing of CEO Nguyen Trung Dung, Mr. Tran Vu Hai - Member of the Board of Directors humorously said: "As a shareholder, I would like to congratulate Dh Foods on completing what we have long expected, which is the inauguration of a standard factory. I am also very happy when Mr. Dung talked about the future factory chain, however, the sales figure cannot be just 1,000 billion, but we expect Mr. Dung to lead Dh Foods to at least 10,000 billion in sales before retiring." (laughs)

The event also saw the participation of the Project Consultant, who provided valuable advice to the Dh Foods team from the stage of selecting ideas, shaping the layout, refining the design, supervising each construction step, closely directing each technical section as well as selecting the construction company and guiding the construction supervision for each specific item. Mr. Le Duc Tien shared: “There are 3 important factors of a project, which are progress, quality of the project and cost. Everything up to today has been completed with transparency and clear disclosure, I really hope that the Dh Foods management board will use it effectively and achieve the set business goals”.

Representative of Kizuna JV Joint Stock Company where Dh Foods chose to locate the factory, Mr. Truong Nhan The shared his experience of racing with the Dh Foods team: “Dh Foods came to Kizuna at the end of 2023 (specifically on December 25, 2023), only about 2 months and minus the time off for the New Year and Lunar New Year, this is truly a record in construction. In a short working time, I can see the meticulousness, professionalism, and dedication of the Dh Foods staff. Recently, when walking behind the Dh Foods factory, I was surprised because there was a whole new paved road that Kizuna had not invested in. When I asked, I found out that Dh Foods did it themselves to perfect the factory, which made me extremely impressed.”
